White Flower

White Flower

I wanted the flower to really stand out, so I decided to block out most of the background, which gave the photo a much more surreal, yet vivid feel to it. I hope this worked :-

    Hi thisisnotbangkok!

Your photos and your edits of them are very nicely done. 😉 Your ‘subjectively accurate’ tagline is really neat too. Thank you so much for visiting my blog — it makes me happy that you enjoy my work.

    Delightful Days,
    Ayesha

P.S. — Do you use LR?

    • Thanks for this nice comment. I will definitely be back to visit your blog, as sometimes I miss the entire Reader stream. I’m glad you like my photos.

Believe it or not, I downloaded a free trial of Lightroom a few years ago and it really didn’t do anything for me. I use a fantastic FREE program called Photoscape, which can be found at http://www.photoscape.org or via CNET downloads. It’s a very powerful program that really should cost at least $100, but it’s free. After using it for several years I have become an expert with it.

I also do not have a DSLR yet so I try my best to use the most pixels possible so that the photos look professional. Do you use LR and do you like it?

        • Exactly. I will only LIKE a photo if I truly believe it is a good photo (from my perspective) or if it is flawed, but I can appreciate what the photographer was trying to to–sort of like the themes, etc. So I do respect your discrimination ;-

          • I have got to a stage where I follow people that produce stuff that i am interested in, so by default, you produce stuff that i am interested in. I am a simple bloke 🙂

          • well that makes a lot of sense. So far WP is the only blog where users “get” my photos. There is usually something deeper going on in them and a lot of people don’t have the patience for that. Now I am trying to sell them, both as prints and as framed photos. Not an easy task. Do you sell your photos and have you had luck???

          • I am considering it, I think that some of my work is worthy of a purchase, its a subtle line to cross.. its a bit like music, not mainstream 🙂
